Hand rejuvenation

The hands may have signs of aging like the rest of the body and face, due to sun exposure, stains and wrinkles.

New techniques in hand rejuvenation now allows the hands to be treated for a youthful look. Stains are removed and skin firmed with lasers and the tissue stimulated for a fresher look.

Treatment is done with general or local anesthesia and no hospital stay is required, although the patient can use her hand immediately afterwards, full recovery is complete within 10 days.

What are the methods?

Chemical peels:  The use of Retin A or glycolic acids may be used in a single session or several sessions. It’s effects are supported with the use of selective cosmetics. This is a procedure only beneficiary to the surface skin and not the structure of the hands. Filler injections may be used to compliment the effects.

Sclero therapy: the appearance of the veins on the skin surface are camouflaged by injecting medication.

Micto dermabrasion: Is applied with local anesthesia mechanically to the surface skin to correct wrinkles and stains.

CO2 or Erbium Laser:  Permanently removes stains with carbondiocsite or erbium lasers and is applied with local anesthesia.

Filler treatment: As the hands loose their firmness due to loss of tissue, exposing the bones, ones the stains are removed with laser, harvested fat cells can be injected. The injected tissue will remain naturally upto 30 % therefore repeat sessions may be required in several months to replace these.

When can I resume my daily life ?

Healing is generally within 10 days, depending on method selected, and procedures are done with local anesthesia
