Stages in breast reduction

The operation is done with general anesthesia in hospitals only. There are several methods that can be chosen, and the selection should be done during your consultation, based on the patients life style and physical aspects.

The aim of breast reduction operations is to reduce volume, reshape and correct the breasts, and the operation usually lasts up to 3 hours.

Post operation

Patients who under go breast reduction can return home after a few hours of recovery in the hospital. Bandages are removed 15 days and a supporting bra should be used for 3 to 6 months. Excessive arm movements, sexual activity is not permitted up to 4 weeks to allow wounds to heal accurately. Smoking is not allowed, and the patient should sleep on her back. Intensively may occur and will heal within a year.
