In order to avoid swelling and bruising, the patient should rest with high pillows, and apply the cold compress that has been recommended. Any swelling or bruising that occurs will disapear within a week and slight discolorations can be covered with make up after this time. There may be sensitivity to bright lights and tearig can occur during recuperation. You should consult your doctor about resuming your daily life, in order to speed the process, the patient must refrain from heavy activity, and bending, should use sun glasses, and avoid being in the sun or wind. The incision marks will be barely noticable within 8 months.
