What is laser treatment? Today, laser facial rejuvenation has been popular with the development of Erbium laser. The base of laser treatments is to vaporize the aged layers of the skin through laser energy and to expose new and younger skin that is below the aged layers.

Where are laser treatments applied? It is applied to aged skin, to wrinkles that have developed on the cheeks, around and under the eyes, on the lips and around the mouth and forehead due to sun damage, surface and deep laugh lines, acne marks, and all types of skin discolorations.

Why does the face age and why do we get wrinkles? They occur with the force of gravity, sun rays, stress caused by daily life and the fatigue of the facial cells. They become prominent on the eye lids, around the eyes, around the month and cheeks and the neck by skin folds and accumulation of fat cells.

Who can receive laser treatments? With the exception of those who have hemophilia, vitiligo, skin deseases  etc , it can be applied to everyone, at all ages and both genders. A laser treatment does not cause cancer. The skin is prepared with the application of a cream for 2 to 4 weeks, and is applied by local ans sedative anesthesia. A full face application takes about one hour.

What are the effects of laser treatments to the skin? The collagen fibers that are loosened by aging are shortened, thus rejuvating the skin. Depending on the depth of acne marks, these are eliminated from 50 to 95 %, and wrinkles are corrected from 60 to 99 %, and skin stains are fully eliminated.

What happens after a laser treatment? Light swelling and stinging may occur; this is controled by admistered medication. Three days after the treatment, bandages are removed and post care is continued for a week. Redness may occur to areas treated and in some cases can be visiable upto a few months, this can be hidded with make-up. Full recovery takes 2 to 3 weeks.

What do I need to be careful about after a laser treatment? Full sun protection is absolutely required, excessive sweating, excersize, abrasive washes must be avoided and only recommended creams and lotions must be used.

How will I look after my laser treatment? Your new skin will look fresh, radiant, wrinkles vanished, acene marks and stains reduced drastically, will have a pinkish red coloration, where the redness will disappear in time and your skin color will return to it’s normal hue. Your new skin will respond to the care you will provide and by protecting it from sun rays, you will look younger.
