Operatör Dr. Nuri M. Battal, 1962 yılında İstanbul’da doğdu. 1980 yılında İstanbul Kabataş Erkek Lisesi’nden mezun olduktan sonra aynı yıl İstanbul Üniversitesi Cerrahpaşa Tıp Fakültesi’ne girdi ve Ekim 1986 da mezun oldu.

Aynı fakültenin Genel Cerrahi Ana Bilim Dalı’nın açtığı asistanlık sınavını kazanarak 1987 tarihinde Genel Cerrahi ihtisasına başladı. İhtisası sırasında ABD de Nevada Üniversitesi Genel Cerrahi Kliniği’nde, 1990 yılında 6 ay süre ile research fellow olarak çalıştı.

Genel Cerrahi ihtisasını 1992 yılında bitirdi ve İstanbul Amerikan Hastanesi El Cerrahisi bölümünde 6 ay çalıştı. Aynı yıl İ.Ü. Cerrahpaşa Tıp Fakültesi Acil Cerrahi Ana Bilim Dalı’na tayin oldu ve 3 yıl süre ile burada çalıştıktan sonra 1995 yılında Japon Sağlık ve Eğitim Bakanlığının MONBUSHO bursunu kazanarak Plastik ve Rekonstrüktif Cerrahi ihtisası yapmak üzere Japonya’ya gitti. 3 yılda Kagawa Tıp Üniversitesi Plastik Cerrahi Ana Bilim Dalında ihtisasını tamamlayarak Türkiye’ye döndü. İ.Ü. Cerrahpaşa Tıp Fakültesi Plastik ve Rekonstrüktif Cerrahi Ana Bilim dalında 1 yıl çalıştı. Halen serbest hekim olarak çalışmaktadır.

İyi derecede İngilizce ve orta düzeyde Fransızca ve Japonca bilmektedir.
